Elizabeth Gebert
Hi, I’m Elizabeth - a literacy practitioner with many years of experience supporting diverse learners in the Surrey and Langley School Districts, including 10 years as an Education Assistant. Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with students diagnosed with autism, ADHD, anxiety disorder, FASD, learning disabilities, and behavioural disorders. Each of these students has reminded me that with the right support, every child can grow, thrive, and reach new heights.
I see every learner like a tree—full of life, potential, and the ability to flourish. With strong roots in evidence-based instruction and a nurturing environment, students can grow with confidence, stretch beyond their struggles, and reach for the sky. Reading is the foundation—the root system—that allows every other branch of learning to grow strong and steady.
I am certified through REACH OG Learning Centre, with training in Foundations of Multisensory Learning, Basic Orton-Gillingham Practitioner Training, and a 7-month intensive practicum that included mentorship and observed sessions. I also hold a Special Education diploma with Stenberg College, equipping me with the tools to understand and meet a wide range of learning needs.
My approach is grounded in the structured, multisensory Orton-Gillingham method, but it’s also deeply personal. I focus on building strong, trusting connections with each student—because when a child feels safe and supported, they’re free to grow into their fullest potential.
Let’s help your child grow strong roots, reach for the sky, and flourish through the power of literacy.
